Need wireless guitar freedom without fighting crowded Wi-Fi?

UHF NEXUS gives guitarists and bassists a low-latency wireless setup that runs on the 657-663 MHz UHF band, away from 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi traffic.

It is built for players who want clean cable-free movement, simple channel control, and a stage-friendly setup for guitar, bass, amp, or pedalboard use. Plug the transmitter into your instrument, plug the receiver into your amp or pedalboard, pick your channel, and play without dragging a cable across the stage.

Why choose a UHF wireless system?

  • Fast feel: under 2 ms latency helps keep your timing tight.
  • UHF band: 657-663 MHz keeps your guitar signal away from crowded 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz spaces.
  • 7 color-coded channels: helps multiple players choose separate channels more easily.
  • Flexible pairing: one TX can feed multiple RX units, or one RX can be pre-paired with multiple TX units for quick instrument swaps.
  • Stage-friendly fit: the 230° rotating 1/4" plug fits most guitar and bass jacks.
  • Rechargeable battery: up to 6 hours per charge from the 950 mAh battery.

What kind of stage setup is UHF NEXUS made for?

UHF NEXUS is made for players who want their guitar or bass wireless system running on a UHF band instead of the same crowded wireless spaces used by common stage and home gear.

That makes it a strong fit for rehearsals, worship stages, clubs, home studios, and gigs where phones, routers, tablets, Bluetooth gear, digital mixers, and other wireless devices are already in the room. It is not “better than every other wireless system.” It is the UHF lane in the CFG lineup.

  • Use it with guitar or bass: designed for 1/4" TS instrument outputs.
  • Run into an amp or pedalboard: plug the receiver into your normal signal chain.
  • Use separate channels: 7 color-coded channels help multiple players keep their setups organized.
  • Keep line-of-sight in mind: open-air range is up to 165 ft / 50 m, and indoor range depends on walls, electronics, and what is between the transmitter and receiver.

Will the rotating plug fit my guitar or bass?

The 230° rotating 1/4" plug helps UHF NEXUS fit most guitar and bass jack layouts, including side jacks, angled jacks, and many recessed setups.

How does UHF NEXUS sound compared to a cable?

Need to switch guitars fast during a set?

UHF NEXUS lets one receiver work with multiple UHF NEXUS transmitters, so you can swap guitars without going through a fresh pairing process.

Set the receiver and the next transmitter to the same channel, power on the transmitter you want to use, and you are ready to play. That makes UHF NEXUS especially handy for players who switch between guitars or basses during rehearsals, worship sets, studio sessions, or live gigs.

  • Fast instrument swaps: move from one guitar or bass to another without re-pairing the receiver.
  • Same-channel setup: the receiver and transmitter just need to be on the matching UHF channel.
  • Great for backup instruments: keep another transmitter ready on a second guitar or bass.
  • Different from SonikSphere and CF-80: those systems need a pairing step when switching to a different transmitter.
  • Important: when using one receiver with multiple transmitters, power on only one transmitter at a time.
CFG Cable Free Guitar UHF NEXUS wireless guitar and bass system lets you swap guitars instantly using multiple transmitters with one receiver

What comes with the full UHF NEXUS system?

The Full System includes the transmitter, receiver, charging cable, and owner’s manual.

  • UHF NEXUS transmitter
  • UHF NEXUS receiver
  • USB-A to dual USB-C Y-charging cable
  • Owner’s manual

The 'Extra Transmitter Only' option includes one transmitter only, for players who want to add another guitar or bass to an existing UHF NEXUS setup.

How do I tell the transmitter and receiver apart?

UHF NEXUS uses a black transmitter for your guitar or bass, and a white receiver for your amp or pedalboard. That color split makes setup faster, especially on dark stages where tiny TX/RX labels are not exactly doing anyone favors.

Which CFG wireless system fits your setup?

UHF NEXUS, SonikSphere, and CF-80 are built for different wireless needs. UHF NEXUS is the UHF option for players who want to stay out of crowded 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz spaces, and it is the best CFG choice when fast guitar swaps matter.

UHF NEXUS FAQ

Does UHF NEXUS work with guitar and bass?

Yes. UHF NEXUS is designed for guitar, bass, and other instruments with a 1/4" TS output.

Can I plug the receiver into my pedalboard?

Yes. Plug the transmitter into your instrument and plug the receiver into your amp, pedalboard, or normal 1/4" instrument input.

Does UHF NEXUS work with active pickups?

Yes. If a very hot active preamp clips, lower the instrument volume slightly. For tight jacks or very hot active/Piezo electronics, the CFG Air-Pocket holster can help with fit and spacing.

Does it change my tone?

Active or buffered instruments should feel very cable-like. Passive pickups may sound slightly darker at the very top end.

How much latency does UHF NEXUS have?

Latency is under 2 ms end-to-end, so it is built to feel fast and natural while you play.

Will UHF NEXUS interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

UHF NEXUS runs on the 657-663 MHz UHF band, away from the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands commonly used by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other gear.

How far can UHF NEXUS reach?

Open-air line-of-sight range is up to 165 ft / 50 m. Indoors, range is up to 100 ft / 30 m and depends on walls, electronics, bodies, racks, and other gear between the transmitter and receiver.

Can I use multiple UHF NEXUS systems at the same time?

Yes. Use separate color-coded channels and keep each pair a few feet apart for cleaner wireless performance.

Can one transmitter feed multiple receivers?

Yes. One transmitter can feed multiple receivers when they are set to the same channel and color.

Can one receiver be paired with multiple transmitters?

Yes, for quick instrument swaps. Power on only one transmitter at a time.

Can I play while charging?

No. The transmitter and receiver cannot operate while charging.

Can I charge UHF NEXUS with USB-C to USB-C?

No. Use a 5V / 1A (5W) USB-A charger with the included USB-A to dual USB-C Y-cable. USB-C to USB-C charging is not supported.

Is UHF NEXUS compatible with SonikSphere or CF-80?

No. UHF NEXUS is not cross-compatible with CFG CF-80 or SonikSphere systems.

Can I use UHF NEXUS as a speaker cable replacement?

No. UHF NEXUS is for 1/4" instrument-level signals, not speaker-level connections. Do not use it between a power amp and speaker cabinet.

What is the warranty?

UHF NEXUS includes a 2-year warranty and 30-day returns.

What should I know before using UHF NEXUS?

Use UHF NEXUS with 1/4" instrument-level connections, keep your amp volume low during power changes, and check local wireless regulations before ordering.

  • Avoid loud pops: lower amp volume when powering on, powering off, or swapping links.
  • For tight jacks: the CFG Air-Pocket holster can help with fit and spacing.
  • For strong active electronics: the CFG Air-Pocket holster may also help if the instrument output is very hot or the jack area is tight.
  • Compliance and availability: FCC ID 2APP6ARU-10, CE, UKCA, RoHS. Not for use in AU, JP, KR, BR, MX, AR, CL, ZA, SA, UAE. Check local regulations before ordering.
