Warranty Policy

At CFG, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products, and we want you to feel confident in your purchase.

Most CFG products come with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
The ZERO-G Pro Strap is an exception - it carries a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own it.

This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship and includes free repair or replacement of any product that fails due to a manufacturing defect.

In the unlikely event that you experience an issue with your CFG product, simply contact our customer service team. We’ll work with you to troubleshoot the issue and, if necessary, provide instructions on how to return the product for repair or replacement.

Important Note on Warranty Eligibility

CFG’s warranty applies only to products purchased directly from cablefreeguitar.com or through our authorized retail partners.

Secondhand purchases (via third-party marketplaces, private sales, or auctions) are not covered under this warranty.
We cannot guarantee the condition or authenticity of secondhand items, so support and service will be limited.

Important Charging Notice

To ensure the longevity of your CFG rechargeable items’ battery, please use only low-wattage chargers (up to 5 watts). High-wattage chargers (e.g., 30-watt) can damage the battery and may void the warranty. Any battery damage caused by chargers exceeding the recommended wattage will not be covered.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or normal wear and tear
Batteries, USB ports, or USB charging cables (unless faulty from the beginning)
Damage caused by using high-wattage chargers above the recommended 5 watts (see Charging Notice below)

If your product is damaged for reasons outside the warranty, we may still be able to repair it for a fee.

Limitation of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CFG, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or related to the use of any CFG product, whether alleged to be defective or not defective, including damage to instruments, amplifiers, audio or recording equipment, accessories, personal or real property, or injury to any person. This exclusion covers all theories of liability, contract, warranty, tort, negligence, strict liability, product liability, and any other legal or equitable theory, and includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, and punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, and business interruption, even if CFG has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In all events, and to the extent any liability cannot lawfully be excluded, CFG’s total aggregate liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you actually paid for that product, or 100 US dollars, whichever is less. This limitation applies in the aggregate across all claims and all theories, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

By purchasing or using any CFG product, you acknowledge that musical instruments and related gear can be heavy, can fall if not properly secured, and can cause property damage or personal injury. You agree that you are solely responsible for proper installation, secure attachment, routine inspection before each use, and safe operation consistent with all instructions, warnings, and specifications. You assume all risks associated with your use of the products to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CFG and its affiliates from and against any third-party claim, demand, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your misuse of the products, modifications to the products, use that is contrary to instructions or warnings, use with non-compatible equipment, or failure to maintain, inspect, or securely attach equipment, except to the extent caused by CFG’s willful misconduct.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury to the extent caused by CFG’s gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing where such a limitation is not permitted.

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In those states, some of the above limitations may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.

Implied Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of the applicable express warranty stated in this policy.

Safety and Use Requirements

Always verify secure attachment of straps, strap locks, mounts, clips, and connectors before every use. Do not exceed stated load limits. Do not use products for overhead suspension, aerial performance, or any safety-critical application. For rechargeable items, use only low-wattage chargers up to 5 watts as specified. Failure to follow these requirements may result in damage or injury and void warranty coverage.
