CF-80 FAQ
Does the CF-80 work with bass?
Yes. The CF-80 is made for both guitar and bass, with a wide 10Hz to 22kHz frequency response that keeps low-end playing clear and natural. It also works with many other instruments that use a standard 1/4-inch mono TS output.
Will I hear latency or a delay while playing?
The CF-80 has under 4ms latency, so it feels immediate for normal playing, practice, rehearsals, church sets, and small to medium gigs. In plain English: your hands should not feel like they are waiting on your amp to wake up.
Can I use the CF-80 with pedals, modelers, or an audio interface?
Yes. Plug the transmitter into your guitar or bass, then plug the receiver into your amp, pedalboard input, modeler, mixer, or audio interface. If you use pedals, the CF-80 usually goes where your regular guitar cable would go.
Does the CF-80 work with active pickups or piezo systems?
Usually, yes. Most active guitars and basses work fine. If your instrument has very hot active electronics, piezo circuitry, or a tight/recessed jack that causes noise or poor fit, use the Air-Pocket Transmitter Holster to move the transmitter away from the instrument body.
Can multiple CF-80 systems be used at the same time?
Yes. The CF-80 supports up to 4 sets at the same time. For best results, put each system on a different channel and keep the units a few feet apart when possible, especially on busy stages or in rooms full of Wi-Fi and other wireless gear.
How long does the battery last, and how should I charge it?
The CF-80 runs up to 8 hours per charge and includes a Y-split USB cable so you can charge the transmitter and receiver together. Use only a safe 5V/1A USB charger. Higher-voltage or high-wattage fast chargers can damage the battery and may void the warranty.
Should I choose CF-80, SonikSphere, or UHF NEXUS?
Choose CF-80 if you want the best-value everyday wireless system for home, practice, jams, and smaller gigs. Choose SonikSphere if you want 5.8GHz wireless with 24-bit/48kHz audio. Choose UHF NEXUS if you play busier stages and want stronger UHF stage reliability.
