StrapSure FAQ
What does StrapSure do?
StrapSure replaces your standard strap buttons with a quick-release strap lock system. Once installed, it helps keep your guitar or bass strap securely attached while still letting you remove the strap quickly with the push-button release.
Does one set cover one instrument?
Yes. Each StrapSure set includes 2 strap locks, enough for one guitar, bass, or compatible instrument with two standard strap button positions.
Will StrapSure fit my guitar, bass, acoustic, ukulele, or banjo?
StrapSure works with many instruments that use standard screw-in strap buttons, including many electric guitars, basses, acoustics, and ukuleles. It is not the right choice for instruments where the strap point is not a removable screw-in button.
Can I use StrapSure on an acoustic-electric endpin jack?
No. Do not install StrapSure on an acoustic-electric endpin output jack or any non-removable output jack. StrapSure replaces a regular screw-in strap button. If your rear strap button is also your output jack, leave that jack alone. It has one job, and it is not being a strap-lock guinea pig.
Do I need tools to install StrapSure?
Yes. Installation requires removing your existing strap buttons and installing the StrapSure buttons. The listed pilot hole spec is 7/64" diameter and 1 1/2" deep. If you are not comfortable drilling or working near your instrument’s finish, have a guitar tech install them.
Can I use StrapSure with CFG Zero-Gravity straps?
Yes. StrapSure works great with CFG Zero-Gravity straps and other compatible guitar and bass straps. It is a solid upgrade if you want extra security for heavier instruments, long sets, or stage use.
